The Environmental Philosophy Summer School is organized by the Centre for Ethics as Study in Human Value based at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Pardubice.

The Centre for Ethics focuses on a large range of current ethical issues, from the climate crisis through the human relationship with animals, populism, artificial intelligence, disinformation, and the current world conflicts to the transformation of European identity. The Centre's mission is to conduct basic research that will inform and enliven debates on fundamental questions of value, both within specialized academic spheres and in public discourse. It forms an integral part of Pardubice's lively philosophical community and brings together domestic and international researchers, graduate students, and visiting researchers.

The Environmental Philosophy Summer School is co-organized by the Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics - Prague.

The Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics – Prague, is based at the Institute of Philosophy, the largest humanities institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences . The main mission of this international research center is to contribute to advancing state-of-the-art knowledge in environmental and technology ethics, in particular by focusing on issues that are globally under-researched, and/or imperative in the Central-Eastern European area.

The University of Wroclaw has a rich history spanning more than three centuries.
